Ok, this is not a glorified recipe. I was craving chicken and rice soup and was not about to go to the store. Homemade always tastes better anyway.
The whole recipe took possibly 15 minutes tops:
Vegetable or chicken broth (bouillon cubes, concentrate, or liquid)
Fresh carrots, sliced thin. Cook in broth until desired texture.
Rice (left over from the night before, or cooked fresh in rice cooker for easy cooking)
Once carrots are cooked in broth, add all other ingredients until hot.
